Yeah! After Hub said that I seldom make card for him when he always does, I'd decided to make my very own pop-up-owl birthday card just for him!

May wisdom be with you always! Just like the owl! ;p

I put in lotsa effort okay! Reached home around 830pm after work (OT of course!) yesterday and spent around 2 hours on this! Hope the effort is enough to cover the flaws!

16 June - Singapore Orchard flood did look scary. I coudn't imagine being stuck there with Chevy. I might ended up using my survival swimming skills, blowing up my pants to float around.

Anyway, was watching Channel 8 news when Hub suddenly exclaimed upon seeing a scene:

Bro returned from UK for his holidays and bought back gifts for us! Dad got a Polo Ralph tee, mum a Coach bag and me a Coach wristlet. He bought them during his previous holiday in USA.

Yayee! It's time for Toy Story 3!

This time round, there are even more toys to create more fun and laughter!

Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear has gonna be one of the character which I like just because he looks so cuddly!

My First Ferragamo.

Shan shan bought this pair from U.S.A but it couldn't fit her and she wanted to give it to Meiting but it couldn't fit her as well. So I ended up being the Cinderella who can fit into it and she actually wanted to give me free!

I offered to pay half price of what she paid but she refused. After awhile of haggling (I was offering to pay more!), this pair is mine for just $50! Mad bargain! =D

That girl still thanked me for helping her clear the shoes while I thanked her for selling it so cheap to me! Haha!

On the other hand, I bought a pair of $10 shoes from Rubi. *Cheap Cheap* It matches my iphone cover!

Haha! I am kinda into nude color recently. Hee... =)

As mentioned, we went for Fion and Stanley's lunch wedding at the Orchid Country Club last Sunday.

Except for ROM solemnisation, I'd never attend any wedding banquet that is in the afternoon. The idea of having a lunch wedding banquet is actually quite refreshing and gave the whole event a different feel. It gives the couple ample time to rest after the whole event too!

The cabin ride really wasn't very comfortable and I wouldn't advice this to anyone with claustrophobia. Moreover, it was musty and noisy to sleep in. =X

I couldn't wait to alight the train the next morning! Part of it was also because of where we would be visiting that day - the long-awaited Giza Pyramid!

Last Thursday, Mum asked dad to help her bring some home-cooked lunch to the office for my colleague and me. After knowing that it was plain porridge with some other side dishes, I told my colleague that if only I had my favorite Marmite and that I wanted to buy one to keep in the office just in case.

Who knows... When I opened up one layer of the steel container which she used to dabao the dishes for us, my wish actually came true!

I am starting to love my iphone more and more! Never expected it to be so entertaining and useful! You can do almost everything with it! You need to use it yourself to feel the difference! =D

After much anticipation, we finally went to watch Ip Man 2 on Saturday night! I love every part of the show, especially the fighting scene! Pretty sure that the show would easily stirred the emotions of many Chinese since the auntie sitting beside me even jumped from her seat and hit her fists when Ip Man knocked down The Twister! Lolx!

Love Donnie Yen's acting as Ip Man! Simply cool with a pinch of his humor! Donnie Yen is the man! Woo! I am so going to buy the vcds for the part 1 and 2! =D

Fion organised a short trip for the 4 couples over the weekends to Batam and I would say that she is indeed a good organiser! Thanks for the effort Fion! =)

We met up early in the morning to meet 8am at the Harbourfront Ferry Terminal and it was crowded with lots of people; must be the public holiday.

A cosy place for a cosy weekend getaway. There is even a small area outside Meihui & Francis's room for us to get together and gossip. Franics was the most happy when he saw this space because he can smoke his heart out over there! =P

The movie was so cheap that it only cost us around SGD3 per pax! Maximum cheap! The cinema is very comfy with the seats like Cathay! Best! We were totally impressed!

Before the movie started, we went for a short round of pool just to past time.

After the movie, we had to wait for the rest who were either doing spa or manicure & padicure and we ended up at A&W again.

We had a one day Batam tour the next day and they brought us to afew places.

Our lunch at the Golden Restaurant was considered sumptuous with a variety of dishes.

The cereal prawns were a mixture of sizes ranging from hei bee to king prawn. LOLx!

They bought us to the authentic Polo Ralph Lauren shop where Hub bought himself 2 pieces and me 1. Other than that, I only bought a box of hair dye from Beauty Credit because it comes in the color of blue black! I am going to try it soon! =D

This comes to the end of our Batam trip and we were back in Singapore around 8pm.

I went to watch Ice Kachang Puppy Love alone; not that it's a big deal to watch movie alone (oops?). Well... Even though Hub said that he'll accompany me watch this movie but I know this is not the type that he would appreciate. Thus, I decided to spend the Sunday just by myself to walk around and catch this movie.

I like the way this movie is shot, making most of the scenes look artistic. A light-hearted movie with quite a heartwarming storyline. However, I would prefer the ending to be another way round. ;)

Oh well... Since I've no one to cook for today, I decided to flaunt my cooking skills for Jerry! =P

Hi peeps! I've been busy and was too lazy to even log in to Facebook, not to say blog; and it doesn't help that I've just got myself an iphone. I've been using it for 3 days and it is indeed quite entertaining!

If not for the need to use it for work, I would have bought myself a Blackberry. But it doesn't really matter much since it's sponsored by the company! =D

I've chosen white and bought a beige color reptile skin lookalike cover to protect it. No photo for that at the moment since my mum took the camera for her holiday. I supposed she's now getting use to the high attitude at Tibet now. =)

Speaking of holiday, I haven't even got the chance to blog about Egypt and my mum is already at her second holiday of the year. Shiok!

Well... Just to touch a little on the Egypt trip... Though I had already selectively uploaded the photos onto Facebook, I purposely kept the interesting ones just for here! ;)

If you ask me what to prepare if you are considering visiting there, here are some of the stuffs which I would recommend.

Sunscreen with high SPF.

The higher the SPF the better. I've got the super sunscreen at 130 SPF. Just because the sun is too strong over there.

The next must-have stuff goes to the sunglasses and a scraf.

Also because of the glaring sun. Ask me about the scarf; why would someone need that in such a hot weather? Well... Simply to use to cover your head so that it would go chao dah. I bought the scraf over there as I love the color when match with white clothing. Nice!

Seasoning.

Bought these Japanese rice seasoning from Daiso and it's damn good! I like the individual small packaging as it is very convenient especially when you are travelling. The food there didn't really taste too good and having these seasoning really helps!

I just need to sprinkle them over my rice and it immediately enhanced my appetite! Good thing is, Eygptian rice are very similar to Japanese rice. Best!

The best food I had over there was the BBQ meat at one of their village-looking restuarant.

It took me 20 Eygptian Pounds to take this photo of the woman. It's a common culture there to give tips to the people if you want to take a photo of them.

The next best food was from Hard Rock Cafe at Cairo!

We were very delighted when the tour guide told us that they would be bringing us there for lunch! Moreover, it's situated just beside Grand Hyatt in Cairo! Happy! =D

Well... The next must-bring-stuff would be your camera! Study your camera well before you go there so that you'll know how to take nicer photos as the sun can get too glaring, causing the photo to be too bright. I adjusted the brightness for most of the photos I took.

Egypt is quite a backward country which I find it a waste given the fact that the ancient Eygptians could build such colossal monuments.

Yes, after a month or so because we'd been too busy that period of time.

I was contemplating between LV and Gucci and almost decided on LV since there are two models which I like - Tivoli and Palermo.

However, after seeing so many people carrying them on the road and sorry to say this, aunties carrying them like some sort of market bag, I changed my mind.

Well... Perhaps I might still get a LV some other days? ;)

Anyway, the newly renovated Gucci boutique at Paragon reminds me of the one we saw at Milan, except that they do not have a cafe.

I went prawning yesterday for the first time at the old badminton hall located at Gullimard Road! Like finally? Yeah... I am so suaku! Never in my life have I prawned before. -_-'''

We had Thai dinner at the food court beside. Gary brought me there previously and I found it cheap and good! The basil chicken rice and tom yum soup is my favorite!

Anyway, prawning is fun especially when you manage to catch them and I had quite a good catch yesterday! Beginner's luck? Nah... I still believe in tactics. =P

Bascially, I was the one to prawn and Hub was there to help me hook the bait. Also, because of his reliable crocs shoes, he was made to step on the pincers of the prawns so as to remove it from the prawn's head and helped us remove the prawn from the hook. Hee...

Highlight of the day: Our dear Fred accidentally dropped the net basket containing our prawns into the water while trying to hook it back in place! Both Hub and me were struggling to save them from the water and luckily we managed to! Tsk tsk tsk... Fred ar Fred.... =P

Alright! Finally an update for Justin and Isa's big day! Long long post which consists of 80 plus photos from day to night! Come to think of it, I didn't even do an update on my wedding day itself. =/ See! I am such a good friend! =P

Justin was made to find the key to Isa's room in the bucket of ice cold water using his feet. However, Francis ended up helping him instead. Obvious right?! How could Justin's feet be so skinny?! =P

Lastly, before seeing the bride, they had to make "J ♥ I" using bread!

Before the dinner ended, the couple had a pinata up and they had a gift for each other in it. We sisters also each wrote them a card with our best wishes!

Hazel!!! She's such a pro! I've already booked her to make my future kids their pinatas on their birthday! =D

So that's all what happened on their big day itself! We were very very tired but the process was really fun! We had lotsa laughter and most of us (pointing at Meihui & Fred vigorously =P) were almost gone case at the end of the night! MUSCLE PRAWNS!! HEI BEE!!! HEI BEE HEAM!!! HAHAHA!!!

It's taking forever to upload the photos from Isa's wedding and so I thought I might as well just blog on other things first. In case someone is VERY keen to know about how well their wedding went (or maybe about some other people around on that day), I just gonna say that we had super great fun and you just have to wait to kaypoh more? =)

Finally decided on the prefume for me after sniffing around looking for the right scent.

Yesterday, I went JB with my colleague and lunchmate just to shop and look what I've bought!

Etude House was having sale up to 50% and most of the products were alot cheaper as compared to Singapore. I bought all these at only RM164 which is like SGD68. Worth it!

I am sure I've mentioned this before but then again, I love the packaging! =P

We each bought a slight bag from Mango...

Just went to check out the price in Singapore today and they are selling it for SGD45. We bought it at RM95 which is around SGD39. Nice!

Alright, going back my parents place for dinner now. Luckily there is Jerry around.

Busy busy day but it was great fun!

Egypt Holiday...

A very fulfilling and eye-opening trip but the weather was mad hot! Combined with layers of dust everywhere and super aggresive locals trying to hard-sell you their stuff, it could get a little frustrating at times.

Having said that, I was still very facinated by their magnificant artifacts and architecture everywhere we went!

It all started from a headache...

... on Thursday. Then followed the very bad flu which started on Friday and it seems like it's never ending because till now, I am still feeling sucky even after popping half a box of flu panadol. =(

Anyway, despite having a bad headache on Thursday, I still met up with Jan, Gary and his wife Emily for dinner at Buckaroo BBQ & Grill. It's located all the way at Sembawang, 12b Andrews Avenue to be exact, very near the Bottle Tree Village.

Gary recommended this place which serves buffaloes like those in Seletar Sunset Grill & Bar. But if you ask me after trying both restuarant, that which is better, I definitely choose Buckaroo. Not only that it's almost impossible to reach Sunset Grill, I didn't really like the ambience and the food there.

I had level 5 of the buffaloes wings at Sunset Grill and didn't enjoy it at all. It wasn't the kind of chilli taste which I like. The chilli tasted raw and tobasco sauce is too strong for my liking.

Red Hot.

After a lesson learnt, I decided to just go for level 1 at Buckaroo and also Emily couldn't take chilli too.

Not so red hot.

At least I could taste the chicky wings properly without feeling as if I drunk myself with tobasco.

Gary strongly recommended the clam chowder from Buckaroo and told us that it's a must try even though both Jan and me don't really like clam chowder in the first place. We shared one and totally loved it!

In a bun.

The bun was crispy on the outside and tasted best when dipped into the clam chowder. Clam chowder itself was very creamy and didn't come with a stinky clam seashell taste (if you get what I mean). Nice!

Their onion rings were served in a very interesting way.

In a row.

Definitely true authentic onion rings made from pure onions and they also came with specially made sauce.

Lastly, we shared a combo set which consisted of steak, chicken and ribs.

Janice and Mei had their first Icing Gifts pary yesterday at Kovan Melody function room and it was a great success! I went over after work at around 1pm and there was already quite a crowd! The decorations were so Icing Gifts, so sweet!

My parents just left for China today and I've to stay over at their place to look after Jerry while they are away for this whole week.

Alright! It's time for my last post on my Honeymoon! I know I know... I actually took almost a year to finish up on this travelog. But I only got to do it out of my spare time ma... =X

Anyway! Lourve Museum! The famous museum in Paris which D_D wanted to visit so much. I could really tell that he's making his tickets worth it because he was slowly scrutinizing every piece of art there.

Hyatt is really a memorable place for both of us. I still remember we walked pass there when we were still dating and I pointed out to D_D that maybe we could have our wedding dinner there but he just gave me a weird look. Who knows, we really had our banquet held there afew years after!

Though it's not our first year anniversary yet, going back to the place where our marriage first started did bring back alot of memories, not only for that day, but also the process of booking and finalizing things to make the day a perfect day for both of us.

Very true indeed, like what people always say, though the outcome is very important, it's also important to enjoy the process. Now that I think back, even though the process was tedious and time consuming, it was fun and unforgettable. =)

In preparation for Isa's upcoming photoshoot, I accompanied her to do her nails yesterday at Nail Haven and we both love our nicely painted nails!

Isa's french manicure is in O.P.I sweet pink (I forgot the actual name) with little white flowers! Very suitable for this bride-to-be!

Mine is in O.P.I Russian Navy with glitters. Loves to max! Reminds me of the star-filled sky at night! Also looks like 1 of Isa's phototaking gown!

We spent our Deepavali at Bintan with the usual group, only with a tad difference. Please let me introduce someone new!

This is offically the first photo we took with Zhi Zi! Needless to say, you can easily tell who she is related to in this photo already. ;)

We stayed in Bintan Lagoon Hotel for the night and I totally love the hotel room there! I can say that it's even better than Hyatt Hua Hin with the relax corner in every room!

I personally find the spa session sub-standard. Maybe I was expecting the service and ambiance like what I would usually get from hotels but the whole experience was way too different. Can you imagine you have to actually bathe in their public toilet to wash off the body mask? I left the place with bodyaches after the body massage.

We had our buffet dinner in the hotel. Since it's Deepavali, their buffet was all Indian food and sad to say, we didnt really enjoy the food as much. After dinner, we went to walk around the hotel and found a heart shape!

Paris... The City of Romance... Part I

We left Switzerland and headed towards the capital of France, Paris. It was a very long journey of around 13 hours on the road but the journey wasn't boring with scenaries to see along the way.

We had afew toilet breaks at Autogrill which is everywhere around Europe. Our tour leader also played games with us on the bus, making our journey more enjoyable! By the time we reached Paris, it was already evening time and there was nothing much for us to do except to relax after a tiring day on the road.

Before dinner, we were off to see the famous Eiffel Tower!

My tour leader instructed me to pose like that when he volunteered to take a photo for me. Ended up he was so thrilled with his work and went around telling people that I was the Singapore Girl. Wahaha!

Good Bargains!

Two bargains to share today! Firstly, facial products! I was shopping with my colleague 2 weeks ago at Jurong Point and there was this guy giving out free samples as we walked pass Kitoko Kalani Beauty By Nature. We listened to him introduced us the Super Aqua Gel which is a moisturizing gel cream that instantly hydrates the skin.

It works just like how The Odbo moisturizing essence that my mum bought back from Korea is, but the water content is so much more than that you can see it literally! Just a blob of gel and all you get is plentiful of liquid! Still using The Odbo at the moment, I shall take a picture of the next time when I start using the new product.

He continued to introduce us the Complete Balancing Balm. It is a tinted moisturizing sunscreen with SPF30 which is perfect for daily use. It works somewhat like BB cream and I find that good cause it gives radiance and protection to your face without having to apply makeup to your face every single day.

So in the very end, look what we got!

We only bought 2 products, the Super Aqua Gel and the Complete Balancing Balm, and we got the rest free! The big container of loose powder came free when we bought the Complete Balancing Balm, making it very worth it!

Now time for another bargain! For those who own a pet, do visit the new PLC (Pets Lover Centre) at the newly open City Square because they are giving out goodie bag for those who spend $50 and above. I only bought a bottle of shampoo and conditioner and went back home with another bag of freebies!

I didn't quite expect to get this much things from a goodie bag. The 2 Burp! chew sticks, yogurt bar, star-shaped treat and 2 small tubs of supplements are already good enough to satisfy me. Jerry will be happy to find himself getting such a treat! ;)

I just came back from the hospital after visiting Meiting and her baby! Yeap! She just gave birth to a healthy little girl!

Time really files... I can still remember vividly months ago when I was helping Meiting out in her wedding and she's already a mum now!

Scary how fast time can be, yet looking forward to what the future holds.

Daily Facial Regime

As the title says, today's post will be on the facial products which are a must for me to use everyday. Basically, there are only 3 products which I use daily.

One

Nivea Visage Oxygen Power Reviving Cleansing Gel

I've already been using this for quite sometime and love the clean feeling it leaves behind after every wash. The cleansing peals in the cleansing gel give a very refreshing and au natural feel.

Even though it doesn't foam, I definitely find it much better than those normal cream cleanser. You only need to use a very small amount of gel on your face to get the optimum cleaning result, making this product very economical. It can be used to remove the final makeup remnants after using makeup remover.

Cleansing Express Moist Cleansing Lotion

I was first introduced to this product while reading Cleo and was immediately attracted by the nice packaging, very similar to those from Shu Uemura. In fact, it fits perfectly with the rest of my room decorations! =P

After learning about its ability to tone your skin while removing your makeup without even the need of washing, I was very tempted to give it a try. However, I was quite skeptical with the idea, worrying that my face might not be clean enough. Afterall, how clean can your face gets without washing it with water?

On the bottle itself already reads "Ready for bed as soon as possible" which is super convenient for lazy people like me! I do know the importance of removing makeup at the end of the day and always force myself to do so even when I am back home late and tired. So this is like the best solution for me!

All you need to do is soak the cotton with just 2 to 3 pumps of the lotion, wipe off the makeup and you are done! You don't even need to wash your face at all! However out of habit, I still wash my face with water, but then that's without any other facial cleanser. Just afew splash of water will do the job and I'll be off to bed in a jiffy!

The water-based solution is suitable for dry skin and it's very light with a fresh fragrance. It's power in removing makeup is great, leaving behind a well-cleaned and moisturized face. Highly recommended!

Lioele Fresh Sun Screen

I've already finished using The Odbo compact Sunblock and decided to give Lioele a try after seeing Isa testing it out at Sasa. I am totally into Sunblock with high SPF and this comes with SPF 45. The packaging is very girly and comes in quite a big tube too, 80ml.

I would say that even though it's in cream form, it's not heavy and does not leave behind any sticky or uncomfortable feeling after applying onto your face. In fact, it absorbs pretty well into my skin and gives a matte finishing.

So above are the 3 products which I use everyday. Nothing much of a hussle, but at least I've done the basic facial care to cleanse thoroughly and minimise the damages done by the UV rays! ;P

Have you all watch the trailer of the upcoming movie - UP?

I am so wanting to watch this ever since I first saw the trailer in the cinema! Judging from the past few movies like Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Cars and Monsters, Inc, I am sure this movie would be a great one too! Disney Pixar ALWAYS deliver the best film!!!

To start off with, I think there's something in Carl that I resemble alot.

His square face is totally like me lah!!! Even my grandpa doesn't has such a square face!

Before going Switzerland, I heard alot of comments on how beautiful that place is and was looking forward to visit the place during our honeymoon. The scenary was indeed spectacular with all the Swiss alps surrounding you. Very beautiful! Since it was just a few days after christmas, our tour leader said that we could take it that we were experiencing a white or even blue christmas!

It was a long drive from Milan to Switzerland and by the time we reached Interlaken, it was already dinner time. We had swiss fondue dinner! It consisted of 3 types of fondue.

First we started off with cheese, then the meat and lastly chocolate for the dessert. The cheese tasted weird though, not like how the usual melted mozzarella taste like.

The meat fondue was good, just that the meat was too thick and took a longer time to cook.

The swiss fondue dinner also consisted of staple food like spaghetti, rice and fries.

On the next morning, some of our tourmates went to the top of Europe at Jungfraujoch. For the rest of us, it was our own leisure time to walk around the small town. Nothing much to discover though, just some small shops for us to buy some souvenirs.

The very next day, we took the cable car up to Mount Titlis where we would have a panoramic view at 10,000 ft above sea level.

We went to see the Lion Monument that is carved from a limestone cliff to commemorate the bravery of the Swiss guards during the French Revolution.

Our tour leader purposely bought a loaf of bread for us to feed the seagulls! =D

Anyway, I bought some facial products yesterday!

From Muji.

Helped my colleague to buy the cleansing oil from Muji and she recommended that it's very useful in removing makeup. It was also being featured in one of the magazine. Thus I bought 1 small bottle for myself to try too. I happened to see the loose powder and decided to give it a try too.

Bought an umbrella from Sasa at the promotional price of $7.90. Love the umbrella and I purposely bought something from Sasa just to get that umbrella! =X

I also bought a bottle of Oxymask which is quite famous in Taiwan. I think it's being featured in 女人我最大.

Once you apply it onto your face, it will bubble and you just have to wait till your face absorbs them all. After which, you just have to rinse it off and that's it! Not messy at all! I personally find that my skin becomes softer and more hydate after using it the first time.

Sasa is having a promotion now for all UOB cardholder on this product itself. Its normal price is $98 but it's sellng at $58 now if you use your UOB card to pay for it! $40 cheaper! Such a good deal! That explains why I bought it yesterday! ;)

Went Raffles City for lunch with D_D just now. We were trying to pick up some chocolates at The Cocoa Tree when this lady from Citibank approached us to apply for their credit cards. No, not those credit cards with a $500 limit. I mean the real solid kind. A $30 voucher from The Cocoa Tree would be given free when one signed up with them on the spot.

Such a coincidence! D_D was asking me when would I be applying for my own credit card and I was telling him that I might want to get a DBS Ladies Card then this lady approached us! We decided to take up the cards from Citibank partly because of the vouchers too! Hee...

$60 voucher from The Cocoa Tree!!! We used only $30 and decided to keep the rest for some other time. Here is what we'd bought!

My family just came back from Korea and bought me a couple of facial products which are not out in Singapore yet.

The golden box is a tube of Ginseng mask while one of The odbo brand is a moisturizing essence and the other is a Sunblock (SPF 50+) in compact form.

I thought this is something very new and interesting! Very different from the usual liquid sunblock which we use! Can't wait to give it a try!

Silky Essence.

This moisturizing essence has a gel texture when you first pump it out from the bottle but as you rub it afew times, it'll turn into water droplets and then all you need to do is to tap it onto your face. Amazing!

We went Suntec on Friday evening as I wanted to get a GPS for D_D as his birthday present next month; if not I wouldn't be that crazy to join the PC show crowd.

On our way out from the PC Show, we noticed that there was a Watson sale in another convention room. I bought an elegant bottle of Evian mineral water at only $4.95 to decorate our room.

There were nothing much for me to buy so I only bought a tube of cleaning gel at a discounted price.

I met up with Pabby yesterday for a simple girly evening out at Raffles City Shopping Centre. We had dinner at the food court and I recommended her the Japanese stall which I personally like best.

You can pick your choice of tempura like what you do when you eat yong tao hu and choose whether to have it with rice or udon. Both are great choices; especially the rice when they top it up with the crispy tempura flakes and the sauce. *slurps*

We window shopped for awhile and settled down at the Canele for some desserts while we chatted our evening away.

It was nice chatting with you girl. Thanks for keeping me company. =)

Jiexin came over to my dad's office to discuss about some artwork just now. After the discussion, both of us went for dinner at Waffletown. She showed me her latest collection from Icing Gifts and I bought 2 pairs of very pretty earrings from her!

Gary & Emily Wedding!

I've a total for 4 weddings and 1 rom ceremony to attend this year. So far, I've already attended 2 and my cousin's wedding is coming along this Sunday.

Yesterday was one of the member, gary's traditional wedding dinner after having his rom on 4th March 2007! In case you don't know, member is what we named for our clique which consists of Gary, Simon, Jiexin and Me! Don't ask me why we named ourselves member, I only remember me burting it out of a sudden when we were younger and started calling each other that ever since!

So Gary and Emily's wedding banquet was held at Novotel Hotel and Jiexin had been raving about this hotel ballroom ever since she attended a wedding there and true enough, that place did leave me a good impression!

The ambience was good and the reception area was very spacious and private. Food was delicious and service was great too! I thought the songs played throughout the dinner was very well-picked too. Especially when I first heard Back at One and then From This Moment! Because Back at One was my second march-in song and From This Moment was played after my soleminsation ceremony on the stage! ;) But seriously, all the other songs played were just as great!

Oh my... I didn't really get to enjoy my hotel stay because of our busy schedule. We were SUPER tired when everything ended that we slept the whole night and morning away. Good thing is, we still have another complimentary stay to be claimed anytime within a year! Yayee!! I love hotel stay! Looking forward to it! (^-^)v

For me!

To start the month off with, I am flying off to China this coming Sunday for a 5 day business trip with my dad! We are both attending the Canton Fair and also visiting some of our suppliers there. Hopefully it'll be a fruitful trip of us!

My China trip was cancelled last minute due to some unforeseen circumstances. So my dad is going alone without me. A good thing too because I am actually having flu now! -_-''' Sakli people thought I having some swine flu how?!

~~After coming back from the trip,~~ I've two wedding dinners to attend!

First would be Huihui's in Mid May and then Gary's at month end. Best part is, my cousin would be getting married in the early June! So to be exact, I've three weddings to attend hand in hand! Looks like mid 2009 is a good period to get married! ;)

Well.. D_D is being posted to Thailand for work starting from 26th May for around a month. Not a very long period but still, this would be the first time that we would be apart from each other for so long ever since we've got married.

I guess I would have more time for myself particularly during the weekends cause my weekdays are partically being burnt out with the increasing workload that I am having now. Perhaps it's the feeling of fulfilment and worthiness, I actually kind of enjoy such pace now. Time just seems to fly!

Anyway, I thank those who showed me concern after reading one of my recent post. I really appreciate the concern shown after knowing that something is not right at my side. The effort to simply ask what happened, assured me that someone cares and to even call me up, really touched my heart. It's the little effort that counts.

It's not easy to find such sweet friendship, and I'm glad I still have a handful of friends who care.

Pisa, Venice & Milan!

I am sure all of you are familiar with these famous places of Italy, which I would be blogging about now!

We walked along shophouses and afew buildings where they led us to the vast space overlooking the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

The cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa.

The Tower of Pisa is the bell tower of the cathedral of the Italian city of Pisa and is situated behind the cathedral. It is the third oldest structure in Pisa's Cathedral Square which is built after the cathedral and the baptistry which you see beside it.

D_D actually just stood still in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa! How can! Learn more from me dude!

D_D loves the magnificant view of the whole catherdal most. He could stood in front of the bell tower, which is the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the catherdal and baptistry for the longest time to observe almost every little details you could find on the structure itself.

We were expecting a very old looking Leaning Tower of Pisa with greyish walls; afterall it has been built so many donkey years ago. However, we were kind of shocked to see a very white and clean exterior Leaning Tower of Pisa. It was actually undergoing some maintenance renovation when we were there thus it was surrounded with steel support and all. And that explains the very nice and new exterior of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.

There are quite a number of stalls selling souvenirs along the streets of the catherdal and we saw more masks there!

So nice!

We headed to Venice after touring the Leaning Tower of Pisa! On the way there, our tour leader brought us to a factory outlet call Barberino Designer Outlet for shopping time! It is designed to resemble a real Renaissance village and comprises of 100 shops of leading brands! This is where I bought my Prada and CK bags!

We had a night rest before heading to the city of Venice the next day. I love the hotel which we stayed over!

The very next morning, we boarded a water taxi to the city of Venice. The weather was freezing cold that day with slight drizzling!

And we hopped onto the Gondola to tour the canals! No more fake Gondola at Genting! These are real stuffs! =P

These 2 men were chatting most of the time while they paddled the Gondola which made us somewhat insecure because the ride could get abit bumpy and scary at certain point of time. Hee...

I find the above very interesting. It looks like people would just park their gondolas at the side and enter the restuarant from here.

We departed the Gondolas and walked around only to find out that Venice is just like a maze! Every corner looks so much similar! We found so many shops selling pretty white lacey hanky and clothings and the richly coloured Venetian glass that are made to world class standard. We also find lots of shop selling MASKS!!! MY FAVORITE!!! I LIKE!!!

And this is where I bought my beautiful mask. No regrets man! How good if Singapore also has such carnival where everyone gets to dress up and wear beautiful mask to display on the street!

Anyway, we ordered a bowl of hot soup in one of the restuarant and it was god sent! The tortellini in beef broth was heaven! I am missing it so much!

And that's all for Venice! I hope this beautiful city of Venice wouldn't sink and disappear so soon! It would be such a pity!

Our next destination was the fashion capital of Italy - Milan. We reached Milan late in the evening and I thought this city wasn't as amazing.

Perhaps it was the thick snow that piled up along the streets or the many walls which were vandalised by graffitis, Milan just didn't very much appeal to me.

Even the hotel wasn't that great as compared to the previous few which we stayed in.

Not good!

The next day, we had a walking tour whereby we get to tour the Milan Cathedral.

This cathedral looks very different from the other catherdrals which we visited with its unqiue and distinctive look.

Just beside the Milan cathedral is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. It is a covered double shopping arcade formed of two glass-vaulted arcades at right angles intersecting in an octagon. Our Bugis Junction was designed to look somewhat like this.

Every classy shopping arcade with all the designer brands here! Even Mcdonalds looks so different here!

The local tour guide from Milan told us that those who wants to come back to Milan again should step at the point where the bull's cock is and turn 3 rounds. I guess people in Milan don't really like bulls eh? ;)

D_D pointed out that my DIY nails look a tad hideous and so I challanged him do it himself. All I needed him to do was to just paint his right middle finger using his left hand; because that's what I find most difficult to do.

After work today... yes I HAVE to work on Saturdays now and I even HAVE to punch card EVERYDAY. ABSOLUTELY NO privilege being the boss's daugther k! ZERO!!! I even have to reach there earlier so that I can open the office for the rest of them.

Oops! Rant too much! Anyhow...

After work today, together with Huihui and her sister, we went to Jiexin's house for a girly afternoon spent on music, baking and shopping! Yeah you got that right! We shopped at her house, choosing accessories from Tara Road, Icing Gifts and Kates Closet!

After lunching and listening to Jiexin play a few pieces of music on her piano, we started our baking session! We had two things to bake - 1) Buttercake and 2) Chocolate muffins.

I would say that we did a great job today! Well... The muffins were a tad too bland as we reduced the amount of sugar and afterall they were still acceptable! Our icing was way too sweet but the buttercake itself was really nice! It's very soft and fluffy! Thumbs up!!! v(^-^)v

I enjoyed myself in this simple yet interesting get-together! We shall do this often! Lets plan on what to do next! *winks*

Relaxing Trip...

Okay! I am all ready to blog about Hua Hin and this post would be quite long because I've around 50 photos to share! =D

To get to Hua Hin, you need to take a plane to Bangkok and then you can choose to reach there in various transportation. Domestic flight is a choice but according to my dad's Thailand supplier, the flight would be damn dangerous and scary. *gasps* Railway would be another choice but the timing is not right for my flight schedule. Next is by taxi but it actually costs around 3500 baht, which is equavilant to ~SGD$150 for one way only! -_-'''

Hua Hin Map.

LUCKILY! On Thursday night, I happened to find out that Hyatt actually provide shuttle service for their guests to and fro Hyatt Erawan Bangkok and Hyatt Regency Hua Hin! For a small charge of 500 baht per pax one way!!! ~ $20 per pax!! Happiness to the max can!!

Yah I know... A little too much details here. But I am just so happy that we need not pay that much just to reach there! *grins*

Hyatt Regency Hua Hin is actually a beach-front spa and resort hotel. They offered us a king room and we were served with cooling ginger tea at the reception. Service was superb!

The toilet was spaceous with a big wooden sliding window at the wall in between the room and the toilet so that one can watch the tv while soaking in the bathtub.

It also comes with a little balcony for you to chill out.

After every room cleaning session, they would scent up the room with aromatherapy at the side table which smelt something like ginger. Guess they love to use ginger flavor alot cause it aids in relaxing?

They not only gave us two complimentary drinks at one of their drinking bar, we were also given some nice fruits.

Since this relaxing resort is suited in front of the beach and beside the is de well-reknown Hyatt spa in Hua Hin - The Barai, they even had quite alot of activities queued up for the guests.

And since this place is such a hotspot for angmos to bask themselves, the resort is very thoughtful to provide useful items like these...

Alright, enough about the room! Lets go out to embrace the sunshine!

The best thing to complement such weather is nothing but a cold towel and glass of soft drink.

They sell this roti prata thingie at their night market and I totally love it!

They would spread condensed milk and sugar in the roti prata and rolled it up. Very sweet but I like. Very unhealthy I know. Nice things are never healthy.

Since there is nothing much to do over there at Hua Hin, D_D and I decided to give it a try at the famous Spa: The Barai. Why go Hua Hin Hyatt without trying their best spa?

So anyway, we flipped through the booklet and finally decided for a romantic escape for both of us.

& that's the only two photos which I managed to take because photography was not allowed in there. But I still managed to take a last photo before we went into the treatment room.

I love the place. It made you feel like you've entered a new world and it was just like a maze. Our treatment room was super grand with an open air soaking pool for both of us to enjoy our milk bath privately.

Behind would be the area where we enjoyed our milk bath. The 90 minutes massage was great and I felt very relaxed as the therapist untied every knots in my body.

After the whole session, we went to the Mcfarland House to enjoy some snacks and cocktails which were part of the spa package.

I love the toasted wholemeal bread best!

But their cocktails suck. I ordered Maitai while D_D had Strawberry Martini. Both tasted like cough syrup and D_D's Strawbery Martini tasted even worse than mine. Lolx!

I HEART SALES!

I went to quite afew sales recently. Initial plan was to take a look at Bodyshop sale but the queue was so long that I 掉头就跑. I should have gone earlier when it's only opened for their members but was too lazy to reach there at 10am. The queue was CRAZY!

Me then proceeded to the Burberry sale to see if anything catches my eyes. The sale was up to 80% but I kind of have a feeling that they jacked up prices beforehand. It still can't beat buying from Europe in terms of prices and designs. The bags and wallets didn't look very much fantastic to me and most of the apparels were only suitable for cold weather.

A pair of flats caught my attention and I was very tempted to buy it. $300 before 60% discount, $120 after discount. Very affordable for a pair of branded shoes, even D_D says so! But if you get to see the material, it's really not worth the amount. It is really comfortable to wear, so comfortable that it's only suitable to use it as a bedroom slipper because the whole shoes, including the soles, are made up of only fabric and cotton. But such nice looking flats shouldn't be only worn in the bedroom! It should be fluanted on the streets! =/

Anyway, I went to the Charles & Keith sale with Isa, Hazel and Grace after work yesterday and I bought a pair of Pedro flats that looks very similar to the Burberry pair!

Something like that but without that strap, and the material is way different. Love the color! D_D finds the color special too! Hee...

I love flats! I have like 7 to 8 pairs of flats in my shoe cabinet! It's so relaxed to wear flats on a non-working day after the long days of wearing heels from Monday to Friday!

The sale was not bad, their boots are only selling for $9! For their bags, you'll have to wait for them to throw different designs of bags out at different timing. After scanning through the whole lot, I only bought a clutch which I wanted to buy previously but didn't.

Hmm... I am thinking whether to go back to the sale again to look for more bargains. =P
